Start with cashback terms
Read the portal's terms for the retailer. Some programs allow purchases paid with gift cards; others may exclude them or specific categories.
Check the gift card
Confirm the card is valid for the product, location and checkout method. Marketplace inventory and discounts can change quickly.
Watch coupon codes
An unapproved coupon code can invalidate cashback even when the retailer accepts the code.
Do not simply add percentages
A cashback rate and gift-card discount do not automatically equal a guaranteed combined rate. Eligibility and order of operations matter.

For high-value purchases, save the offer terms and transaction confirmation.
